At the XX factor, blog of highest women:feminism ratio in the entire internet, the ladies are chatting about whether Clinton's wife only got to be senator because of who her husband is.

• Duh.
• Most people get to be senator because of who their fathers are.

Lithwick, the only voice of reason over there (she must secretly be a man! there is no other explanation!), has finally pointed out that they're bashing Hillary because she is married to a successful man. But the rest of the ladies, on both sides of the argument, seem to agree it's important to scrutinize all of a candidate's achievements to make sure she "earned" them.

To them I put the question, did Obama only get into HLS because he was black?
