One of the XX Factor ladies brags that she avoided women's studies in college because it was a "fringe" subject. It would just be a bunch of girls segregating themselves from the mainstream debates! Much better for women to talk exclusively about men until they're 35, then join forces in a no boys allowed politics blog where they puzzle out whether lactation is feminist or not.
This is equally as ironic as Lithwick's post the other day. She complained that during the democratic debate a female news correspondent had been relegated to the "land of lip gloss." Projection? Lithwick's post was more poignant, though, because it marked how far she'd fallen. Stop trying to write like a lady, Lithwick! Escape the ghetto while you're still funny!
