One of those cell phone networkish companies has a commercial about people who roam a lot because they are urbane, sometimes even to the point of being multicultural. At the end the customer says, I need a network that serves me in--and then an inefficient mash-up of the places between which he or she travels.
Now that company is in talks with Barack Obama. He's going to be their spokesperson when he loses the primary.
"My family is from Kansas and Kenya. Five times a day I kneel in the direction of Mecca. My pick-up basketball teammates live on the streets of Chicago." [Frowns, pauses to shoot a hoop.] "In Washington I work with men and women on both sides of the aisle." [Squeezes a disembodied caucasian hand.] "I live in Kansakeccagowashitheaisle."
